Not many bees active today. I have read that mason bees fly in light rain.
I have not seen that. And today's rain seems to be keeping them grounded.
The availability of empty bamboo tubes is becoming rare.
The choosy bees are now filling paper tubes. Yet, no a single routed wood tray
tube has been filled. I have seen a few bees entering routed-wood-tray tubes.
As I have said, none filled.
I may totally discard the routed-wood-trays and use bamboo tubes and paper.
It is easy to open the bamboo tubes. I know there are people
who extoll the benefits of routed-wood-trays. I don't know for certain but I suspect
the reason they like the trays is because they sell them.
