Mason-bees are one of the groups of native bees.
When midsummer is in full swing, the most common bee in my yard are the bumblebees.

Again an inspection of mason bee condos and adjacent walls showed no bees: Nary a single solitary one.
Not only have the mason bees not emerged, but I have not seen a single bumble bee. By now there should be a few flying around. There is concern among entomologists that there may be a problem. We will see.
Still to cold for mason bees. No activity. Local forecasts seem to indicate more days where there are not enough days above 50 degrees F for another week or so.
Mason bees are just waiting.
Daffodils, Winter Daffne are all in bloom
The bees have ignored the glorious Pi day. Here it is March 15 and not a single bee is buzzing the condos or walls of the house.
Maybe they are partying at some other person's bee condos. In any case, they are not doing anything at mine. I checked the cocoon cache. No activity is occurring.
