look at center of photo , the bamboo tube shows the typical filled tube. The color of the clay depends on the local clay, but most of mine are gray in color

This is a cocoon secured into the very back of a bamboo tube.  While sometimes the parasites can attack this position, the location is typically extreemly safe for the cocoon. So safe that it is even difficult for me to remove the cocoon.
