Mason-bees are one of the groups of native bees.
When midsummer is in full swing, the most common bee in my yard are the bumblebees.

Time to eliminate the Houdini fly
The nasty little Houdini fly maggots do not know what is coming. Tomorrow they get eliminated from the bee-condos. I am sure it is better to kill the Houdini fly now as compared to waiting until they emerge in the spring.
